Spoiler: Why can't I rate levels?

We ask new members to participate in the forum for two weeks, so you can better understand the game and the way levels are evaluated, before allowing you to rate levels. You can review levels in the comment section, and that's a good way to get a few "likes." After two weeks, when you have at least five likes, you will be able to rate levels.

Spoiler: I made a mistake. Can I delete my level rating?

Level ratings cannot be deleted, but you can change your rating. Just rate the level again, and your rating will be updated to the new one.

Spoiler: Why didn't my level appear in the forum when I posted it?

The first two levels from new members are checked by a moderator to make sure the level code is readable and the card is properly labeled with title and author (so players can find your level when they search). This check is also to prevent a new member from posting many levels all at once. We ask members to only post one level a day, so everyone gets a fair chance for their level to be seen and played.

Sorry, that's a little forum glitch; the rating is still there. If you refresh the page, you will see it.

I just discovered that a number of members may have received spam private messages from "mohuginn673." Sorry about that. I don't see private conversations. So if you receive any spam or inappropriate private conversations, please report them so I can resolve the problem.

How do I report inappropriate posts or messages?

The easiest way to report inappropriate content anywhere in the forum is to use the "report" button:

Why can't I embed youtube videos less than one minute long?

Youtube recently started using a different URL format ("shorts") for videos less than one minute, and if you try to use it to embed the video in the forum you get an error: "The specified URL cannot be embedded as media"

But if you just change "shorts" in the address to "embed," it will work. So, for example, instead of entering https://youtube.com/shorts/LAWbVPmg33o for the video address, put

https://youtube.com/embed/LAWbVPmg33o

Why is the QR code on my card so small? Or The code is small and I can't scan it...

When a level is very large, the Mekorama app reduces the QR pixel size to fit all the information in the QR code (which produces a code that is much smaller). Some devices have trouble scanning the smaller code. So Gepeto created a code optimizer as part of his Mekostudio tools.

To optimize a smaller QR code, go to http://mekostudio.com/customizer and upload your card. Then under the Optimize tab, choose "Optimize the size of the original QR code on the card," then click Generate. This will produce a card with a larger code, making it easier to scan. (Note: This only works with a card image exported by the Mekorama app, using the share button, not a screenshot.)

 

I want to post an image (QR code, screenshot, etc.) in my level comment, but it asks for a URL. What do I do?

You can use an online hosting service, such as imgbb, or you can use the Sandbox thread in the forum: Sandbox for images in comments

To post your image in the sandbox thread, scroll to the bottom to make a new post, enter some text (which could help you find your post later), click "Upload a File," and choose your image file:


You can upload more images, if desired. Then "Post Reply." Your images will be attachments to your post. Then right-click on the image you want to put in your comment, and choose "Copy Link." That URL address can be used to put your image in a comment.

 

How do I hide text in a "spoiler"?

Select/highlight the text you want to put in a spoiler, then:


You can add a message to your spoiler, or leave it blank.

Then your text will look like this:

Spoiler: Click me!

You have to click the spoiler to see this text

How do I create an album, step by step?

To create a new album when you add a new level, choose "An album" and "Create an album...":



Or you can move one of your levels to a new album. On the level page, click the move button:

Then choose "Create an album":

 

@Labyrenight Yes, that would be a good place (and you don't have to hide it). Or you could start your own thread, or both.

What are "tricks"? How do I do them?

@Kojim The answer is in the second post above. It looks like you should reach two weeks by tomorrow. Then there will be an option to rate where you comment on each level.

@Pratik Bhalerao Yes, Mekostudio can't handle L-bots. Sorry, I don't know of another way to rotate the level.
