I agree with this is annoying and some times need to erase parts of your puzzle becouse if you try to erase with the trash tool and you are not precise you will to erase other part of your puzzle that need more precise to fix it

 

i will propose more colors of bricks for more stetics details
Or have an option which apear a color box and we can select the colors of ours bricks, what do you think?
like options when we select the position of the pipes, well you will can see colors of bricks too
