    I was trying to understand this thread in a practical way:

    • the arrows in the level point towards +z (see here for directions)
    • E>W>S>N can be verified in the level (with some pencil and paper on your desk)
    • 100 steps and path calculation considerations can be checked
    • inset stairs and their antidote can be tested
    • and claustrophobic autopilot as well
