Spelunk

Go spelunking into the caves and see if you can find your way to the other side of the mountain. No exploits needed, no map provided, bring a water bottle, flashlight and maybe a helmet. My first level, hope you like it!

Hello and welcome to the forum,:D!

Your design is great - it's a real caving adventure. Unfortunately, as a player, there's just no way of knowing where to go. It's so blind you can only tap at random points and hope it helps. A few more openings in the sides would allow us to enjoy it more, ;).

Yep,I agree with @Jom ...A bit hidden first level where you must do trial & error,or tap & error to find the correct path...The design is very nice & I can imagine the hard work to build the inside too with that draggable that influences the gameplay... So,I think that you have potential to do great levels...Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum @NigelJGW ;)

Thanks @Jom and @delator77 for the feedback! The original idea was that only the outside entrances would be visible, and the whole point of the level was to figure out which ones connect to which, with progress moving from "area 1" to "area 2" being easy, then getting to "area 3" has only one option, and progressing from there. I chose to add more openings so you could see progress, but I think that may have made it harder to see which

spots are actually important to try?
Especially when one spot is harder to find, and you may not expect to get your feet wet.

Ya, the level becomes tap-and -hope -that -B -turns -up. Would have been sort of fun to see B moving inside as well, and would have helped reduce the difficulty.

Thanks, @I_am_Bot, for the feedback. I can maybe share the "naked" version of the level (not as a playable Level) and see if that's more interesting. Of course, that makes the actual mess of the mechanism fully visible, and everyone can laugh at how complicated I made it on myself. (I've got a long ways to go to get to the elegance I see in other levels.) It will also expose the second-to-last step, so you won't actually have to use the outside access, but maybe then people can give additional suggestions. Thanks for the input!

Oh, one other question for @I_am_Bot... I can see when I tap if the result is red (can't go here) or white (B is on its way). Are you actually having to wait to find out? Or is it just that the time for B to get there takes too long?
    • I_am_Bot
@NigelJGW no that's not what I meant. I meant that not knowing where each path leads where, it became a matter of tapping here and there till the tap was a white circle.
