Semper Paratus

Semper Paratus is a Latin phrase that means "always ready", and it is the official motto of the U.S. Coast Guard. It fits perfectly, because Mother Nature isn't going to give you a week's warning that she's going to nuke the place with a hurricane, some idiot on the bay isn't going to call 24 hours in advance to tell you that he forgot to get his zinc anodes replaced, and the terrorists and drug runners don't exactly mention their plans. One of the biggest departments in the CG is Contingency Planning (aka the dark magic dept.), which is just what it sounds like, being prepared for every possibility. SAR (Search and Rescue) is only one of the things that the CG does, but it seems to be the only thing that most people know about.

And to anybody out there who is or was in the military, thank you for your service.

Cute and fun. Like the path, and the radar installation is a great little touch of set decoeation.
