      Exploits or not?
      1. meko
        meko
        It depends on the case.
But I think it's a good thing to put in a level some simple and intuitive exploits.

I don't get a chance to play that many custom levels so exploits are incredibly frustrating to me since I'm not used to seeing them. I prefer straightforward puzzles without "tricks". Does that make me a meko-purist?

I just read your comment on Rafts that you might be nearing the end. Please say it isn't so! I can imagine how exhausting it must be not only to keep being inspired with new ideas, but to spend the hours assembling and beautifying all your work. [Part 2 of my comment next.]

        Never give up! :D
For me I'm more like the laid-back kind of creator -- I don't always have new ideas in mind, maybe just two to three each week and in the end prolly just one of them could actually be realized within the game's constraints and meet my standard of trickiness.

I guess most other creators here actually brainstorm in the other way round, by toying with everything in the Creation mode and see if anything would achieve good effects. I do often hope that I could come up with more ideas and become a more prolific creator, but I guess that's just the way it works for me......

So I'd like to say that even if you may feel like running out of ideas at the moment, perhaps all you need is just a good rest! ;)

That's sad news! For you and for us. But maybe something good can come of it (.. like a way to export and import designs in progress?)

Nice observation! Great job! Looks like I'm number 578... I can't believe I joined before you did, but I quit for a while after joining, so that's probably why I don't remember.

@meko - I was wondering how you got to play so many levels more than I if you only joined two weeks before me. I had trouble catching up. Signed, user #988

There are famous remakes of original levels. But... If I do a remake of a level on this forum?

better ask the original creator 1st ;)

Another Universe is a remake anyway, so you're better off making your own remake anyway.

Well, it is always better to ask 1st anyways ;)

This seems like a loophole anyway xD

@trids you like small levels because if you play big levels you will see inside; go to options > x-ray vision > off

:) X-Ray Vision is an imperfect science. More of a curiosity than a tool.

Also, is not the size that matters, it's when the designer has taken a lot of care to reduce the puzzle down to its essence and eliminate whimsical irrelevance. This is often true in smaller puzzles, but not always.
