How many of you are using BlueStacks to play and build Mekorama levels? I've been using Bluestacks 2 for about 2 weeks now and it's great as I get to use my 22" desktop monitor versus my 10" tablet. The only problem, more of a note than a problem, BlueStacks wants money ($2 for the month) or you need to download the game of the month/week. So far, nothing has been downloaded and installed so it might be a false threat.
I have Mekorama installed on Bluestacks, but I rarely use it, since my data is on my mobile device and I can't bring my PC when I go out. You do have to download certain games every so often if you don't want to pay, but I don't really mind it.
Yes apparently. About Day 2 with BlueStacks installed it held me at gun point saying pay $2 or Install This App to continue. Having no choice, as I'm on a fixed income (lol), I opted to install the app. It tried to install a few times and then stopped and the app never appeared. About a week later, another $2 or Install This Game. Opted for the game, as I was just going to uninstall it after it installed not that I need to worry as I have loads of memory on my desktop pc. BlueStacks advised that the app will install shortly but it never did. As for the mobile device, if I go out and want to bring the game, I'll just copy the levels over to my tablet and play them. All good.
I've read through all of the Mekorama documents, and it mentions Bluestacks in there as a way to play an Android app on your PC. I've checked the Bluestacks site, and I can't find Mekorama anywhere, unless I haven't checked the right category - is it available through them? And can you use the Mekorama level editor via Bluestacks?
To play Mekorama on BlueStacks... You require to use the Google Play Store inside BlueStacks to download it ( BlueStacks is actually an app for PC n not a site ). For Mekorama Level Editor... If u talking about the one in Mekorama it will be enabled as you download it, N if u talking about the one for PC it can be accessed by Chrome inside BlueStacks or even Chrome in your desktop directly.
I've recently switched over to MEmu and I think it's better than BlueStacks. MEmu doesn't nag for money nor forces one to download apps so no ransomware.
I think I'll skip it then - I try to avoid Chrome. I just thought it would be easier to build a level with a mouse on a larger screen, because I'm having no luck on my tablet. No worries, though, I'll just keep enjoying the levels that everyone else posts up.
@D.S.Masters - To use BlueStacks or MEmu, Chrome isn't required. @HackedUp was referring to using a browser (Chrome) within the Android Emulator. Now that I'm using MEmu or BS (for that matter), the tablet is never used unless I'm away from the house. Making a level and/or playing a level is way nicer on a 24" screen versus a 10" tablet or smaller phone. My point, get it a try. There are others on this forum using MEmu and/or BS.
Unfortunately, MEmu - while it looks good - isn't compatible with my machine; I have an old Windows XP machine that I use for games and what-not, and a Windows 7 laptop that's used for business only. MEmu only supports Win 7 on up, and the IRS can get a little touchy about a business-only computer that's used for games as well; you can't claim that exemption if you have games on it.
