Poll Demographics: Who are we?

I am simply curious as to how many of us tend to be creators or simply players, and if age group or gender makes any difference.

 

Go right ahead… But bear inmind that this will be a continually open poll, as new members arrive all the time after downloading the program.

There have been at least 1 million downloads in the first week according to the Farcebook page, and there aren't very many of those down loaders here on the forum… Yet.

 

Another thing to consider is that a person who is a "player only" may never find the poll, if they're not a forum person, and have only arrived to download the levels. That would definitely, statistically, screw up your statistics by some plus/minus margin, since not everyone has to become a member in order to download a level. There could already be several thousand people who have downloaded levels here, but never joined as a member.

Hence, I expect the results to show more young male creators, then players… But I thought it would be an interesting poll to see if I'm wrong.

 

I prefer to play them than create them… But I marked myself as a creator because I have created a few levels, and I do have some ideas for others… But I'm not sure at all how to build them yet...

So, in the meantime I'll just over-analyze

 

Sounds like a plan… I've been putting some of my ideas in my ratings for others when their levels have inspired other thoughts. You might want to check those… Though sometimes they get deleted when people update their level.

You are only considered to be a creator, if YOU think of yourself as a creator…

If you only made one or two levels, but really don't think of yourself as a creator, because you're just not happy with the process, it's too tedious, you don't feel very creative, and probably aren't going to make any more levels, then you're probably not a creator, you are simply a player.

You can always change your response later, if you decide to be something else later.

Well, I found it difficult to describe what was in my head to the first person who requested an idea. so unless you're telepathic and can read mind pictures ala Temple Grandin, I think I'm stuck having to figure them out for myself. LOL

( being inside my head is probably the last place anyone would want to be in...willingly)

I'm thinking of changing my own answer to player as well, because even though I've made about 10 levels ( I think I have 4 posted), I'm really not serious about creating.

The age break was arbitrary.
I originally had a more detailed age breakdown ..then discovered I could only have 10 questions per poll

I don't know what a "young adult XD" is, but at least it doesn't sound politically incorrect.
