When I hit the share button, there are many options but none to simply save the image file. I like that image much more than a screenshot.

It depends on your device, I think. Some devices have a save image option

On Samsung devices (with the "Touchwiz" interface), try sharing first to an email - once you have the new email presented for editing, with the image as an attachment, click on the attachment and choose the gallery app or imgur - some app that will make the image available as a file. The email itself can be abandoned, in this strategy.

On my device, i have an imgur app installed, which comes up in the first list of apps to share to, so i can skip the dummy email step. This app is also useful if you want to include an image (or several) in comments... you use the image tool and essentially it creates a link to the image on imgur. So it doesn't impact your forum media storage quota.

I used email up to now, will try to skip the actual emailing next time. Given all these things a 'save to image' button next to the share button might be an option.

Also I think it depends on the device, I have the option "save image", so I can save in my photo gallery or open it on other apps.

On my Android tablet the share button has an option to "Upload to Photos" which puts the image in my photo gallery. Then I can select that photo when adding a new level.

Yep... I think the share option depends on the software installed in your device. As ES Explorer and Imgur are on mine I am able to share the card with them as an image. So I can save the image on my device or to third party services through the share button.

Thanks for the FX File Explorer tip! Uploading levels here will only be a 2 step process now! The only better way would be a direct "Share to mekoramaforum.com" feature.

This consumes your forum media quota - which can lead to your having to create multiple forum logins (like richardfu's) if you want to continue posting - and there certainly is a better way than that!

Using the imgur app i mentioned above, you don't impact on your forum media quota at all - because it works by seamlessly sending your image to a separate server and returns a link for the image which you use when creating a level. And so you never have to create (and manage!) multiple forum logins.

But wait - there's more! This imgur method also is only a two step process:
    1. Share your image to imgur (which creates a link in your clipboard).
    2. Paste the link into the level creator page .
Now what can be better than that?
    :p

That also bypasses the "upload image" screen on this site, which occasionally doesn't work very well for me on mobile.

@sawdust - yes, me too! I have the same problem. But the imgur/link approach saves the day.
    :)

BTW , there are alternatives to imgur.com (like tinypic.com, etc) . . . But i believe it's only imgur that has an android app which presents an option in the "share" menu for images. In fact there are several imgur apps on Google Play to try . I just know the one above is perfect for our purpose.

Here's the link again: imgur app on Google Play .

This feature would be a great help for me since I don't usually have internet access on my phone, and I have to upload levels from my phone into my work's PC before uploading it here, so that is a good thing to have :3

I sometimes share or export the Card onto WhatsApp.

And then I upload it from WhatsApp's Sent folder.

    My query is...
When exporting card to Google Photos, it generates card without black border but sharing in WhatsApp, it doesn't happen, it gets black border.

It would be nice to generate without black border card even if shared anywhere. It enhances the beauty and looks very inviting on Forum home page.

The problem is that image files with png have a so-called alpha channel, which defines the transparency of certain image areas. This is probably not supported by WhatsApp, or the image is converted to jpg where there is no alpha channel. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about that. :) '

    On the topic of share:
Some file explorers such as Dateimanager+ can serve as a share target and you can save the level map as normal. :)
