New England PUNK

They told B that he was too small to do this all by himself... obviously he's going to prove them wrong. (no tricks needed)

"P.U.N.K." (Puny Undernourished Kid) is a song from the little known AOR (album-oriented rock) group New England from their self-titled debut album in 1979. They had some legal troubles with the name of the group (there was another group out there using the name), but eventually they won. Just for funny, in the military, 'AoR' means 'area of responsibility'.
None of their three albums ("New England", "Explorer Suite", "Walking Wild") really hit the big time, though they were obviously popular on Boston radio stations, and oddly enough, the song from their first album that got the most airplay was "Don't Ever Wanna Lose Ya", a rock ballad. I've still got the vinyl of their first album, as well as the CD... the first 2 albums are easy to find on CD, but for "Walking Wild" you'll probably need a prayer or two.
My favorite from the first album was "Shoot", with "P.U.N.K." coming in a close second. Most of the album was basic rock, nothing spectacular, but it's fun, and its biggest claim to fame was that it was produced by Paul Stanley of KISS.
      - Shoot (the guy with the big hair is drummer Hirsch Gardner)
      - P.U.N.K.

I played this level yesterday and I had fun playing it. Now I can't remember how I did it. I'll play it again.

Will I change my rating after playing it again? We'll see. :rotf::rotf::rotf:

ONE OF YOUR BEST LEVELS! This level really deserves 5 stars!

      1. Logical
      2. Cunning win block. I assume you added an eye underneath the win block.
      3. Fun ending

Yes, back to your style lv that I like. A logical thinking lv. Thanks for sharing.

@P_simorf Yep, evil eye was the initial basis of the level, with that last ball and ramp... then I added the mech, and it mutated from there.

@Steven Maki If I use tricks, it's usually autopilot and hercules push, and every once in a while I'll do SBS. For the most part, I'll only add tricks if they can help the level or build the path.

@Sun Eagle I still can't do ball order as well as some builders, but I'm working on it...

Astonishing design & FUN kogic gameplay...Thanks for sgaring @D.S.Masters ;)...Btw, reading your initial comment I found out that the term A.O.R also means "Album Oriented Rock" apart from "Adult Oriented Rock"

That surprised me twice. Great ball sequencing, and I love the passage you built to get B to that first lift.

@Don G Rowe One of the main reasons I did that - after the level started to 'mutate', as I mentioned to @P_simorf above, is the fact that I like to have B visible from the start of the level... though I have occasionally started with him hidden.
    • D.S.Masters
@delator77 I did actually have their second album ("Explorer Suite") at one point, and as I remember it was very disappointing compared to the first - a lot mellower, and what one critic described as 'pomp rock', whatever that it.
