Mini Mini Maze

A compact and minimalistic maze. But it's a different type of maze...

I think it's a 5, very clever. Not simple but not hard. My only niggle is sometimes the empty spaces are tough to touch since they are blocked at most angles.

@meko Sorry dude, I had to run out to play soccer (football) for the evening.

When I rate a level I am very critical. I take into consideration as many things as I can. Is it their first level or two, how does it compare to their other levels, how does it compare to the levels of others, how was the art, is there a story, were there any glitches, how was the game play, is it a level that needs to be discovered by other people that look to me for my opinion, how much effort did the author need to put into the design and construction of the level, who was the target audience and did it meet those expectations, is it a level that I will want to play again, etc., etc.

You know, there is a lot to like about this level. It's fresh, the art is great, the title and title description are appropriate, and I could go on. Were there some issues? Yes, like B Hill said, it was hard to tap some of the spaces due to difficult angles - not really your fault. Was it a challenge, was it somehow rewarding for me? Well, not so much. That's just me. And that's where I had to draw the line. It's a very good level, but I like some of your others much much more. I am also anticipating much more elaborate maze levels that will surely be 5-stars.

I think that last bit is really what pushed me in one direction rather than the other. Unfortunately, it's not possible to award 4.5 stars. And I wanted to leave room for a higher rating for your next maze.

If you're looking for more justification, I absolutely loved "Shortcuts" while Frenzies gave that one a 4 and this one a 5. Sometimes it is just like that. And sometimes I make a mistake. Like in Mini Pagoda I feel that maybe I should have given that one a 5. It's just hard for me to give out 5 stars too easily because then they lose their meaning.

I do really like this level! My favourite part was your brilliant ingenuity in both the design of the maze and the design of the mechanism. Perhaps I will regret not giving out 5 stars (and I am seriously having second thoughts already). But please believe me: I am both very impressed and very grateful!!!

I want to repeat my original assessment:
      - "I want to give you five stars"
      - "I want to encourage more of these!"
      - "Definitely a bit different from what we've seen."
      - "Awesome innovation!"
      - "Thank you!!"

UPDATE: This post was in response to your "angry face" that you've since deleted. I felt that your demands needed explanation. Now I'm just leaving this here to let people know that I put a lot of thought into my reviews. Having slept on it and played a few more levels that also were great in their own regard, I've decided to be a bit more generous. I have thus deleted my original review and gave you a new one.

That's fun and inovative. I'd like to see a bigger one. Thanks! :)

      @Gepeto I've already made a big maze like this:D

Interesting! Well thought out space management, which made the level manage to achieve the "different kind of maze" intention! :)

Very nice - compact, minimal, easy to get through. Even Welles has something similar called "Minimaze", and I enjoy both of them. Pure puzzle solving, no racing the clock, and no zappers.

@D.S.Masters this level is different from "Minimaze" of Even Wells, because you haven't specific platforms as landmarks(and there aren't zaps). I also love small pure puzzle like this level and "Return Trip"

I had a change of heart. Rather better to round up than round down the stars. Compared to Richard's Remote Control II, this one is equally as good. They are both flawless, innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and fun. I will just keep better records for my own personal favourites. You've turned me into a nice guy. Thanks for the nudge... And the great level!
