In retrospect, this level was not as difficult as I initially thought.

Excellent little puzzle, looks harder than it actually is. Some interesting steps, very enjoyable

I think this level might be broken in newer versions of the game. I was clueless about how to proceed but I found videos:

R will now step down onto the eye and get stuck on the other side of the eye. The videos I saw (using the original game, given their age) had R not stepping down onto the eye and turning on the steps instead.

even if R doesn't make its leap on its first attempt, it seems able to recover, turn around and try again. Remarkably stable move.
