      - Read at your peril, this is the Big One..
Send B to the back of the wall (towards the flipper) and wait until the R bot is just about to go *down* the steps. At this point, his zapper head still forms a bridge between the two walls. Then tap on the opposite wall, closest to B.

By the time B gets to the end of his wall, R will be safely our of range. But he still jumps across the gap (this is The Exploit!). Send B a few steps down the stairs and swing the model around so that you're looking at the target, not B.

Wait until the second R bot is in the middle of the dip between the 2 sets of stairs - notice that his head bridges that gap in B's route to the goal. In this brief moment, you can tap on the goal and B will start his final leg of his journey. If you're too early or too late, your tap on the goal will be rejected with a red cross.

You need to choose a time when the two bots are not going to quarrel with each other near the dip - by the time that B gets there, they both need to be safely out of range. When he jumps over the gap, thats the same exploit again as jumping between the two walls. Ta-daa!

@trids ahh, OK I went about it totally different. I use a different bug.
First walk B over two blocks, and when R is directly under him walk over R to the other wall. B does not get zapped!
Then time B's death so he forms a step for R to use to get up to the goal.
And your way is more reliable, I got it now. So this puzzle has two solutions using different bugs!

@B Hill - Well you've definitely discovered another exploit!
I checked it out and this is how it works : When a zapper bot is in the process of turning around, it is safe to walk across his head...

As for B dying to have R walk on him, i still haven't managed to get that to work. But you could reliably start off with your new exploit and then follow the rest of the "official" solution. Well done! And thanks for the feedback, and the rating!
      :)

@trids OK, your spoiler explains why it works for the first gap, but not for the second. I always got zapped at the second gap, so for that to be exploited,
one R would need to be in the gap, and both would need to be turning at the same time so B could safely cross. I don't know if that ever happens, seems very unlikely but I would have to try the level again and see.
      Did I really discover a new bug/exploit:rolleyes:
    • trids
@B Hill - Yes i believe you did...
Mine works by the zapper bot establishing part of a route, but only a single square, for B to follow across a gap. The catch is that he must reach that point only when the zapper has moved out of range. The puzzle was designed for the exploit to be used between the walls and *also* the path across the dip.
Yours works when a zapper bot is turning around - somehow his zapper is temporarily disabled for a second or so. Therefore this exploit can be used in the puzzle when the zapper bot turns around between the walls near the flipper.
See? Two different exploits. And to solve the puzzle you can use mine twice; or yours first then mine.
      :)

      @B Hill
... The last 2 paragraphs in Spoiler #5 are about the second gap.
      :)
For my exploit to work (ie: for B to reach the point of crossing the gap when R is out of range with his zapper), B must be several steps away, and R must be in the gap, when you execute your tap on the goal.

So here are my experiences (rather similar to @B Hill ):
I had actually been aware of the ability to cross a gap because of a moving object completing the path temporarily. Despite this, I had trouble crossing the second gap. The complications caused by the two zapper bots lead to B's death more often than not or him trying to backtrack to the finish because of the first gap being completed while attempting the second.

So the first time I solved this it was like B Hill, in that B died in the second gap and R climbed over him to the finish.

Having completed it the second (intended) way, my suggestion would be to remove at least one of the sets of stairs by the second gap to limit bad luck. I do appreciate the need to keep B distant from the gap before starting his route, but that's an added level of difficulty that doesn't play well here.
      Thanks for the creation!

P.S. Like you mentioned @trids , "I strongly dislike puzzles that rely on luck." I mention it more for order of record than commenting on this level. Although bad luck here did force me to be a bit more mindful. :)

I also wanted to make a shout out to @meko 's Missing Piece http://mekoramaforum.com/media/missing-piece.2736/ His is a very nice and intricate level that also used your exploit (back on 27 July). You'll notice in the comments on that level that at first I was calling it a bug and, that by 2 August, I had begun calling it a fair exploit. ;)

      Good times!

@nGord - Thanks for the feedback.
I noticed the backtracking effect, but decided to leave it in, as an extra element to juggle. Rest assured, it's not a matter of luck! Like you, I also don't enjoy challenges where luck is a factor.

What happens here though, is that the topmost bot can provide a shortcut path that can catch you by surprise - if you tap on the goal while he is in the passageway between the two walls.. and if you have B in the wrong position. So for the final step, you need to keep an eye on both bots and/or start with B in the right position around the corner at the foot of the stairs. Try it again, i think you'll enjoy outfoxing the traps.
      :p
      I missed @meko 's level. Thanks, i must give it a try!

I completed the level...but by dying only.....cant the level be completed and B be saved

@Scare Crow - yes, you certainly can win without dying! See my "Spoiler #5" for all the details. Meantime, well done on finding a lateral solution!

then play again to try another routes.
possibly to win, but kinda hard.
