Finally!!! I almost dropped a star as the ending was a bit much - it took three tries to do as intended and twice I needed a restart as no recovery was possible. Glad it's over, I used a shortcut as it was more reliable than the method described above by @ridgerunner.

After the 1st SBS get on the draggable to the wall on the opposite side. As the rotor comes around, tap the end and fall in, the rotor will move B to the other side where B can wait for the ball.
