Before the Fall

I haven't completed it yet - I just now looked at the hints, which tells me what I did wrong, but it's a beautiful level, and the first time that thing fell, it startled me.

As always, a terrific level from a Master Builder ... but I'm stuck! I cannot figure out the way to get that ball (below the platform) as access is blocked by that step. Is there a trick with that step? Says no tricks needed, so obviously I'm going wrong somewhere. Any spoilers welcome!

Claustrophobia is the one trick you need to pass those stairs. The rest of the level is trick free. The setup is done by

lowering the platform by one square so that it is directly over B's head when he walks onto those stairs.

Terrific level - again. I had a little trouble with claustrophobia, but that was due to inexperience, thanks for the additional help. Great design too. You're a master designer!

Wow! If I could give this 6 stars I would!
It was a fiendish puzzle, so many trials and errors with the separate parts of the puzzle and sequences of them.
I was stuck for ages and had to look at the hints and realised I was indeed on the correct path but stumped at the

steps and claustrophobia part. The platform was falling fully instead of one block. I had tried using the push-B-mechanism the 2nd time in the sequence - It didn't work the one time I did try it so assumed it wasn't a piece of the puzzle. When I was about to give up and ask for a solution video, I tried it one more time and realised it was essential to stop the platform falling too low. Lesson learned - physics based games don't always behave as they should do! If that made any sense to you at all?!

After many reboots, I discovered the secret. Wonderful level. Beautiful passing changes and sequence of balls. It deserves 10 stars.
