Praying For Rain

B is stuck at his once oasis, which is now quite parched. Will the rain he is praying for save him? [This is my first ever level. I know I've critiqued hundreds. Hopefully you'll be kind. Free camera not required but an exploit is. Please see the Caption tab for more details on hints, etc. Thanks.]

@meko - Yeah, I'm not sure that I'm in love with this new avatar either. o_O I posted on my profile a comment asking for feedback about it.

Thanks for finally sharing how to do the desert effect. I knew this level would incite you. :D:p:cool:

Recreated the level, QR code completely different, even different size.

@meko, and anyone else having trouble with Hint #3
      From upcoming documentation:

      DISCOURAGED BUGS OR EXPLOITS
“Inertia Bug" (AKA “Boogie Bot Bug”)

If you move B back and forth, especially around the corner of a hole or set of blocks, he will get dizzy. If you get him dizzy enough, his weight will be enough to make him fall (either up onto or down from a block).

@Block builder - I don't understand what you meant by: "I should have read here instead...:p"
    • Block builder
@nGord I wanted to figure out the desert trick. Lot's of effort (well not that much) wasted.:D
    • nGord
@Block builder - Imagine what I had to go through. Not only figuring it out, but doing so in my first (well almost first) time in the level editor.

I dragged around the cloud for 15 min and nothing happened.o_O

Thanks for the feedback. I took your tastes into consideration and tried not to hide the draggable too much. As mentioned in the description, free-camera is not required. The draggable is pretty much above B's head, just three blocks in front. You need to pull it sideways, out in the direction of B. A lift should descend there after.

I was distracted by the visible brown block and kept dragging around it:D
Nice to see your first level! Funnily you used the two tricks that I disliked the most. I guess they are needed to achieve the artistic effect though.
    • nGord
@richardfu_ - Thanks! The hidden issue and minimalistic style was also meant to complement and please @meko.

I'm on the cloud tapping everything trying to get that poor robot to fall on the goal lol

@a220 - dude, sorry I'm riding you - your obvious passion is wonderful! - but could I ask you to put that last image inside a spoiler too? Not because it so much "spoils" anything as much as it is huge and dominates over the other comments. Cheers.

Oh, it would be my pleasure to help. Here's the final step solution:
Using a220's image for anyone else reading this, I'll explain where you'd need to tap in order to cause B to fall down on the win block. The Inertia Bug is so called because it uses B's inertia to fall. If you move B back and forth around the inside corner to his right in the image, then you'll notice that he'll start leaning into the corner and eventually he'll fall into it.

If the image becomes unavailable, another way to say this is to repeatedly tap the third block away from the lift and the block one back and one towards the palm tree. These two blocks are around the inside corner of the air above the palm tree and getting B into a rhythm of rocking back and forth around it will eventually get him to make a misstep and fall towards the tree.

Does it use the inertia trick?
    • nGord
      @Frenzies - Yup, sorry :( I don't think I had any other choice.

  • The point of this level was more about the art and of course to show that the Desert Effect could be discovered by others. I tried to include as much gameplay as could fit, but in doing so I incorporated some design elements that I am not proud of. My apologies in advance.

For those that don't like the exploit used in the original upload, here is an alternate version of the level with a simpler exploit (hint: stand B on the pillar and send him to the stair block):

    Hints to the original version:
What goes up, must come down.
So we know that stone blocks can't move. You're getting warmer though...
This level relies on an inertia-based exploit. As much as I personally detest inertia-based exploits, I had little other choice to make the level this compact. You may need to be gentle with its execution too - so as not to have B fall too far away.

The Boogie Bot Bug is an inertia-based bug because it uses B's inertia to fall. If you move B back and forth around the inside corner of the cloud above the win block, you'll notice that he'll start leaning into the corner and eventually he'll fall into it.
