Failure

This isn't really a level, but an example of a flaw in the level creation system. It's possible to post levels that are technically unbeatable. I will be posting about this in the forum.

This isn't a flaw in the level creation system, that's by design...just add stairs. This is actually a flaw in the lack of curating uploaded levels for playability before allowing them to go public.
    • Brd-Bot
@Sunny Sunset Right, it's about playability. I added a thread to the bugs & features section commenting that levels need to have some sort of verification of completion before the QR code appears. This is an oversimplified example of the possibility of an unbeatable level. I've seen a level or two that I seriously doubt can be beaten (but perhaps I'm still a Mekorama amateur).

@Brd-Bot See my reply in the bugs section. Ive thought about this issue as well, as soon as the first unplayable card hit my deck

Nothing more than an example of how NOT to make a level
    • Brd-Bot
So it looks like @Caken and @Sunny Sunset might have missed the point of this level. See my description above. I understand that it is unbeatable. That is the point, to demonstrate that the level creator system does not verify if a level can be beaten. The one star rating is unnecessary, and makes me think about deleting it. Please see my post here: http://mekoramaforum.com/threads/verified-completion.27/

Sometime maybe you want to showcase some awesome structure without an actual puzzle.
So would u just let it be?
    • Brd-Bot
I suppose if you really wanted to share a structure that doesn't have a puzzle, you could always add a B-bot next to a button. It takes up just 2x3 blocks and can fit anywhere.

I also find it hilarious that people keep rating this one star! It's an example people, not an actual level design!!! Ugh. Probably going to delete this later since I also included the image in the discussion thread.
    • Caken
@Brd-Bot I make examples that get 1 star I don't complain (ignore that last one I complained cuz sunny is rude) but this isn't helpful because some of the first Levels posted were unbeatable mine are unbeatable but I add helpful stuff on it

What is needed is a section specifically for these "unbeatable examples"

As long as they are being posted in the LEVELS section, they are going to get one star so that the people who are only interested in collecting cards, and who don't read the discussions, and are not interested in wasting their time, know that a one star level is probably not a good card to download.

Caken, if you think I'm rude because of what I say about one star levels, so be it. The point of my comments is to protect others from wasting their time on something they are not interested in… And to try and let the site moderators see a trend of 1-star ratings, and WHY they are one star, so that these things can get their own category AWAY from the general "new bonus levels" when they really aren't levels at all, just examples.

To leave them unrated is not helpful at all in this endeavor to give them thier own area.

      Ok?
    • Caken
@Sunny Sunset download it don't idc just read the info also I have a separate place for levels like this, it's called a separate album
    • Sunny Sunset
@Caken People don't see the album names when they download...and if they did, your name means nothing to a stranger, just as mine is irrelevant to anybody else who may stumble on the site in the next hour and a half as a newbie

What they do see is a heading saying "levels, or new levels". They are not seeing "examples for developers and creators", and therefore they think everything uploaded to this one section is a legitimately playable level.

      They're looking at ratings...

And they arent going to download a one star level... Which is the whole point of giving it one star, so that people don't waste their time downloading something that isn't playable. If they are creators, they will find the one star items interesting… But the stores are not for the creators… They are for the general public looking around for playable levels.

And to alert the moderators that there's a lot of one star ratings… All for the same reason…, Which should prod them into separating them out to the proper area and not in the public non-developer/creator area.
    • Caken
@Sunny Sunset they see the name and the album before they even see it LOOK AT THE LEVEL
    • Sunny Sunset
@Caken ....but that album name it means absolutely nothing to someone simply looking for playable levels who just stumbled onto the site 5 minutes ago
