This is a very very old mechanism, one of my first mechanisms when I was just starting my way on the forum. Finally I made gameplay for this mechanism. I hope you like it.

Spoiler: How to get rid of Z!

The slider that is responsible for starting the excavator mechanism not only holds two balls for B's passage. This slider has another important function - after B has passed, you can put the balls on the floor and move the internal mechanism together with Z! And the passage will be open.
Two balls in a vertical position - for B's passage. Two balls in a horizontal position on the floor - so that move Z and reduce the hole for the third hole with balls

One star is HIDDEN! Try to find it!

Spoiler: Where is the star

Below the ball slide there is a tunnel closed by a slider. You need to move the slider as far as possible, then you will see a star!

Master @Denis Nazin did it again . I love the mechanism. I love how stable it is.

Great level in a industrial/heavy machinery setting. The mechanism is fun to operate with the main excavator part and those switches for ball control, works perfectly! It was great fun to play through this and to find the interactions of the mechanical parts, and also the second star. Thanks a lot!

Great mechanism, when I started playing Mekorama I also had an idea of excavator but I didn't manage to make it work. Guess mechanical levels are not my type to build. Enjoyed handling the mechanism and the no trick solution to this.

Love the mechanism! There are many smart things in this level. For example how you make it easier for B to have the time to ascent a certain moving part towards the end. I got zapped there first as I had not realized there's a reasonable way to do that.
