There is a restore point if B falls to the ground. Spoiler: Tricks Required Autopilot Gravity Gun Wedge On Stair Autopilot Spoiler: Hints If you're having difficulty with the rotating mechanism, I find it helps to use a steady motion with a medium speed. Rotating it too fast or to slow will cause problems. If B doesn't automatically start climbing when in the rotating mechanism, you can jostle it a little. After rotating, if B lands on the raised wedge, jostling the rotating mechanism should help get B in the proper position. The restore point requires Autopilot.
Not sure if my way was the designed but I managed to take all the stars so I am satisfied. Thanks @MekaSage btw, I will like to see the solution movie, just for curiosity
Yes, Denis's video shows the intended solution. Spoiler One time I actually got all three stars running through the level once instead of twice, but it was completely lucky and I couldn't repeat it. I was testing getting the furthest star and went for it first. I didn't do the last cancel tap in Denis's video and B was still in Autopilot mode after grabbing the star, causing B to run down the incline and grab the star near B's starting point. Thanks for playing, @delator77, @ridgerunner, and @Denis Nazin! I appreciate the comments.
I don't understand the level as I am not familiar with the listed tricks aside from autopilot. I would also like to view the intended solution and learn from it.
Very neat 2D level. Thanks to @Denis Nazin 's video that I have completed the level. The level offers a range of clever and enjoyable features, but their complexities can be puzzling at times, making it difficult to tell which ones are which. I saw your review on Gravity gun earlier and saved the card but haven't played with it yet out of curiosity. Added more stars since I learned new things.
@cloe - thanks for playing! Regarding the tricks-- Spoiler The wedge on stair autopilot is when B is standing on a wedge on top of stairs. Mekorama behaves as if B was standing directly on the stairs, so if you tap along the path from the stairs, B will try to run in that direction as if on the path. Here's a demo: https://play.mekorama.com/?u=https://mekoramaforum.com/attachments/wedge-stair-autopilot-png.43529/ The reason there is one wedge missing in the rotating mechanism of my level is that it provides B a clear path down the stairs when B is on the wedge. The gravity gun could be viewed as a 'low ceiling', just on a diagonal.
@MekaSage I just got home from work and read the comments and watched the video that @Denis Nazin kindly posted. And I'm mad at myself for not seeing the very clean way the tricks were executed. I had to get to work and wanted to complete the level at all costs, but that made me forget to notice the small details that made the level so intuitive. Sorry, my friend, my rating would have been higher.
@MekaSage thank you for explaining the trick in detail. I've missed out on so much over the past six years of my absence in the forum.
Thanks, @delator77. It's always a balancing act trying to include details to make it intuitive, but not so intuitive that it's completely obvious.
How many mekorama cells do you need in your brain to think of something like that and then put it together? A really good level and, for me, a great challenge with a very satisfying ending!
