This level highlights the quest to create a bipedal mechanism that has true stepping movement. It has natural appearing legs and feet that work to advance it forward.
If leg movement stalls and doesn’t continue after four or five full head swings… a slight tug at the ankles should kick start the stroll.
(A wing could also be similarly used).

OMG!!! This is absolutely FANTASTIC mech-bird for mekorama!!!
It seems to me that you have done the IMPOSSIBLE!
This kind of mechanism is, for many, impossible to do within the framework of mekorama. But you DID IT!!
Thank you so much for this great work and your talent as an inventor!!!
      I'm THRILLED!!!

Of course, of course, OF COURSE 5!!!
      THANK you my friend ;):thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is incredible. I'm in awe. So much detail. So much natural movement. Probably the best meko-art that exists.

I've long admired the walking robot by Martin Magni but I think he would probably join me in applauding this astonishing, truly beautiful, creation.
The unfold (Transformer) sequence is mesmerising, but to then see that creation walk away is mind blowing.
      The whole characterisation is superb.
A masterpiece of Meko Engineering and Art. You have truly surpassed yourself this time 97. Congratulations and many thanks for sharing.

Thank you @Denis Nazin I am honored that you were one of the first to see this level. Thank you for PCR my friend!!!

When I thought about using the out-of-level sliders with motors as a flexible tether for walking, I had no idea what the design would be. I then realized that I could make longer looking legs if they were bent bird like, it just took-off (no pun intended) after that. I kept adding and changing details to keep it as stable as possible.

      Thank you @alarcon for PCR
I’m not able to create standard or trick related playable levels anywhere near the quality a lot of designers here can, but I seem to have found a niche in mechanism presentations.

Thank you @Block builder I appreciate the kind words especially from such a talented designer as yourself.
      Thank you for PCR!!!

Thank you @MekoMole I had no idea what the design was going to be when I started with the concept (see my reply to @Denis Nazin above).
It is very satisfying when a lot of small details can be assembled into one flowing presentation. Thank you for the kind comments!

Fantastic! My son will want to see this!

      Thank you @cimarronline for PCR!
It’s always a pleasure when a moderator takes time to acknowledge a level.
Your son will probably point out that the raptor lets out a scream now and then (this level plays well with the volume turned up a little).

@97 NinetySeven No friends this level is much better than the general levels on this forum, it would be ironic if someone lowered the rating just because this level can be won with 2 taps
Thank you for your great work

Great design, I like the way the head turns to look around, then stops for a bit, and the jaw too!

A pity there were only two stars to get. This made it very easy to complete in seconds.

      Good work!

Edit: my bird didn't walk until I realised you can move the wings! Then it set off!

After reading all the comments I have nothing original to add. Just look at the names of the talented Meko-creators who have praised this work of yours. In fact I am the first humble player to comment on the level and I am honestly shocked, speechless. When I finish writing this comment I will open it again just to delight myself with this Meko work of art... thanks @97 NinetySeven ;) ASTONISHING JOB!

Thank you @Chris Hester for the comments and rating.
There are (hidden) draggable blocks in the feet at the ankles that can be used to restart walking if it stalls, as well as the wing method you found.
There are no comments to display.
