Night City

My dream is to make Night mekorama. I did it. This is very different from the usual mekorama - I hope you enjoy it. This is an art object. Gameplay copies search games. There are no tricks. Used: hidden and remote win.

Night City

@Chris Hester My friend, the answer to your question.
As I understand it, you were able to take a star in the river. The remaining two stars are very easy. Behind the benches, in front of the entrances to the houses, there is a shadow. There are three FDs in this shadow opposite the entrances. Right FD - ends the game (there is a marker - a red brick).
Left and center FD raise sliders. You need to take (clamp) the darkness or shadow behind the glue opposite the entrance - and PULL UP! Then the slider moves up. Try it - it's very easy.;)

I loved the idea whenever you presented it in the forum discussion board. This is very neat, and it's 5 stars just from the sheer quality of this design.

But I'm very confused about how I won, or how to collect most of the stars .. or even where those stars are!!!

As awesome as this is, I don't think it'll be viable until there are ACTUAL lanterns in the game.

This might just be me dreaming, but would it be possible to treat shadows like water in the game, and shadow would fill to a certain level??? That would probably be the easiest way to add night mode to the game.

Yes, it would be interesting to add a night in Mekorama. But still add a Brick red wedge. It's just that in some levels it is necessary for a more realistic design.

@Mekologic Yes, you are absolutely right - every author-builder in mekorama has wishes and blocks that everyone really wants to add to the game. I think that if you collect all the wishes of all the players, you will get a lot of blocks that need to be added to the game.

      Regarding the red wedge:
Of course, sometimes you really want to have such a block in stock. I guess why the creators of mekorama didn't add a red wedge: The red wedge contradicts the geometry of the brickwork (which is on all brick blocks). If you make a brick wedge, then the rectangular geometry of the bricks in the block drawing will be broken. I think that because of this there is no red wedge. The creators of mekorama are great aesthetes, so they could not break the shape of the brick.

Yes Yes!! Of course you're right! This level is a night mekorama mock-up (it was difficult to do without real lanterns). You are right: to make gameplay in night mode, you definitely need real lanterns (ideally, you need lanterns that can be moved).
about your suggestion: "make the filling of the level with a shadow in the likeness of water." This is a very interesting and original idea! But in my opinion it can be made easier:
Make mekorama alternate space (not white but dark, maybe dark grey, slightly darker than in mekostudio). and in this new space do the same as in the usual white space - but only the opposite!!! In normal mekorama, a shadow appears under the block. In the night space - a light will appear under the lantern block. It seems to me that this is very easy to do - just swap white and black. the program will work exactly the same but as on the old photographic film negative - black and white colors are reversed. This program needs to be attached to only one block - the lamp block. The remaining blocks work in the same way as in a regular mekorama. It seems to me that from a technical point of view, this is easy to do - because such a function already exists in the mekorama settings. Just swap the colors.

the idea is definitely interesting. also did not expect that it would not be necessary to "open" anything. I liked the atmosphere of the level.

@Mr Lemon Thank you very VERY much! Yes, at this level the most important thing is the atmosphere! I'm very happy that you liked it:D;)

The Meko-night is so, so lovely  the gameplay is secondary in this case... спасибо @Denis Nazin :)
