When I was trying to solve @Labyrenight's recent level Lemon, I got some ideas for a remake of the level with different tricks.

      • Star Pass is required in 3 places. If you aren't familiar with Star Pass, when a moving star occupies the same place as a movable metal item (such as ones attached to sliders), then B does not see the metal item and treats the block below it as the path. For more info, see the Star Pass thread.
      • Low Ceiling/Claustrophobia
      • Side Stair Step
The SSS is used in conjunction with one of the Star Passes.

Nice remake @MekaSage . I like how B just climbs onto them blocks, even though they're in the level. I got stuck on that step a few times, had to watch the video, to see how to get onto the white. That caused a few restarts :D I must hold the record for the most restarts on people's levels:D. Nice one @MekaSage.

I did not understand why you can tap the block under the rail with the ball. How? I watched the video and tried to do it myself but I always failed.... Thanks for this star pass learning level.

      @ohmytian -
That is one of the 3 Star Pass instances. The star that I circled in this screenshot is what makes it work.

One thing I should have mentioned about the Star Pass is that the effect continues to work even after the star is captured. So even though B captures that star before the ball falls, the "phantom" star is still attached to the ball and can create a Star Pass condition.

One clue that a Star Pass is required is when there is a slider attached to metal that doesn't seem to have any other function. Note that the rail holding the ball is attached to the slider circled in the next screenshot. It can't actually move, so why is it there? It's because Star Passes only work on "movable" metal elements (even if they're blocked and can't move, like with this rail).

B needs to do a SSS to get off the stairs, but can't because the rail blocks the spot in front of the stairs. But as the ball starts to fall, the "phantom" star passes through the rail. At that precise moment B no longer sees the rail.

The timing is critical. You have to tap under the rail just as the ball is next to it. Since B can't see the rail at that moment, B will try to step where you tap (note you get a white circle instead of a red circle during the tap). You then tap next to the stairs to finish the SSS.

@MekaSage Thank you very much for the detailed explanation! Now I understand very clearly! Thank you again! It's a interesting effect of a star but in my opinion, it's also hard to remember when/where/which block has been made passable by those stars. So it's better to have a compact little level. And you have done a very great job! Thank you!

@shaun Roberts - thanks for playing! I'm with you on having to restart levels lots of times, lol.

@ohmytian - it's definitely a cool effect, but I agree it could make levels confusing depending on how complicated the design is. Thanks for playing!

but tiring to press restart many time
whenever fail in only once chance
      to tap block below pipe
while ball is in process of falling
in order to perform SSS :confused:
