@Gepeto It is new for me too -- I thought B can only walk on turning zapper bots and descending onto a zapper by the stairs.
    • Gepeto
Oh... I remember that someone used this bug on a first version of my escape game level (I have found the link to the previous attachement, here). I had to lock the path close to the zappers and the win spot. So maybe it was new by this time but nobody noticed?

Maybe some would be interested to know that it is possible with much more than one zapper

Cool level. I always get zapped
    • nGord
@Propesyonal - You rated the level 3 stars. Were you able to finish the level? I'm just curious what led to your assessment of an average rating - not that that is a bad thing? I'm just trying to make sure people don't rate levels out of frustration or because they think less of the levels for reasons beyond the designer's control. If it is difficult to explain what made this level average, could you perhaps try and suggest what could make the level better? Thanks!

For example, I personally did not rate this level even though I completed it because I felt that I did not get to experience the level as the designer had hoped. I found a shortcut that involved some luck and thus I was not able to complete it in the intended fashion. And because of this I can't say whether the game play, puzzle factor, and fun factor were good or bad. I could say the art and symmetry of the level were okay or I could say that I had trouble seeing into the pit, etc. But these factors were not enough for me to justify a rating. Instead I just made some comments and invited the designer to have a dialog with me to learn more about my experience if they so wished.

Sorry for the long comment. I understand that English is hard for many people here and I just would honestly like to learn more about your feelings for this level. Thanks again.

@nGord Agree with you. Level shouldn't be rated based on frustration. I yet to rate any levels. Not because they don't earn it, but I just felt that I'm not yet "qualified" to judge other people's work piece. If I like a level, I give them a like. But hey, that just me.

This level is not easy. It uses a brand new trick that has not yet been explained anywhere. Unfortunately, there is a lucky way to solve the level as well, so not everyone will have the chance to try the trick out for themselves. I, therefore, present some hints for anyone so courageous as to try this level.
There are some hidden zappers in this level, so be careful. In fact, anywhere you find a hidden zapper means that that is not the intended path to the solution.
It's clear to see that there are a few paths potentially available to B, but many are false trails / deceptions. For that matter, so are the two win blocks visible from the front. Ignore them and focus on getting to the win block in the back.
By now you've probably found all the zappers and realized that you can't go down either of the front stairs or through the tunnel closest to the stair block. This leaves the fourth route that also does not look too promising. At least, in this case, you can see the zapper in your way. Take it step by step.
Zappers that are sunken in a pathway can be approached easily. Thus you can stand B just before and just after the visible zapper in the corner. See if you can tiptoe quickly over the zapper. What other choice do you have, right? Oh, and to make sure you don't foolishly do what I did, don't bother trying to go around the visible zapper and thus get zapped by the hidden one between the front stairs (which I know you know is there).
Well you're going to have to get wet. The trick to get back out of the water is based on the autopilot exploit.
If you manage to get zapped on the backside of the level, don't despair, it only means that you'll get more practice with zappers. There are no more tricks here now. You just happened to have found the last red herring. I hope you paid attention to which stairs not to go up and down this time.
What is "walking on fire?" Well, to tiptoe over the visible zapper, do just that, but quickly. Walk B up to the zapper, tap on the zapper, and then tap quickly beyond the zapper (i.e. before he gets burned). If you just want to practice this, check @Gepeto's spoiler called "Walking on fire" where he included a simplified level focused just on this new trick.
If you're reading this far than I am sorry for your pain. This is because this final trick is one of the oldest ones on this forum and this means you're likely new and trying an advanced level that has some issues with it and some not so friendly design choices. Okay, enough about my opinion.

To get out of the water on the backside, you have to trick B. You have to send him to the spot beside the draggable block (when it is flush with the wall) and then, before he gets there, pull the draggable out. B's autopilot will want to get to the spot that is now below the draggable and you will find that he will be happy enough to climb on top. From here, the correct win block can be easily strolled to.

The tip-toe trick is definitely a new one to me - thanks! And all the ambushes and booby traps made the entire challenge so exciting...
      Well done!

@nGord - Thanks for these great explanations! I don't think I would have done a better job :)
@Propesyonal - Rating a level is somehow a personnal judgement on how you feel it of course. But beyond that we try to draw a framework arround that. Some people used to rate levels one star just because they didn't understood how to get to the win spot (that's kind of an old story ;)). If you think this one deserves 3 stars that's fine to me, I am not running after stars. I just hope that you've understood how to go to the win spot, and succeed on that. Otherwise it could be a little bit unfair :(. That's the most important question to me, as we're all learning something and need to learn more. On another hand, I agree that being zapped is not really pleasant (me first!). That's where it could be interesting to discover how to walk over zappers :)

I found this level in one of the downloadable documents. First I tried to solve it myself and I found it very hard. But with the hints in the spoilers, I learned the trick which was new for me. So I like this level because it teached me something new.

Hi @Shinji Ikari and welcome to the forum! Thanks for your kind review. I'm happy that the trick didn't frightened you but instead made you stronger. What's funny is that (by the time of this level was published) I though this trick was known by everyone while it was new. That can give an idea on how there's a lot of things to discover in the game ;)
    • DEVIL
So you get down the stairs, use dizzy technique to get down on the water, use auto pilot to get back up and use the stairs to the win block. Am I missing something here. I can't find any other way in the start other than getting off the stairs.
