Firing Line

Okay, folks, don your ear protectors, load and chamber your level, and you may autopilot at will. (guess what's needed)

Fun, fun, fun! I had to have quite a few goes because I am not good at timing the tapping, :rotf::oops::rotf:! I like the big trench and the mechanism at the end.

Autopilots?? Hmmm?? What autopilots??? WOW, i found a shortcut! Me!

Yeah, that's me unable to plan ahead (told you I'm no good at chess).

So I got the balls along the trench in counterclockwise (as seen from starting position) order, to keep a path to the next one.

Then was stuck, doh. I did a ToA (surprisingly easyly given my poor skills) over the horizontal half cylinder near B's starting point to get back to the pool and trench for the last ball.

The intended way (that i did, yes) is way more interesting and fun, thank you.

This one has me stumped. Can’t see the autopilot move to get me to the last ball.
    • D.S.Masters
@Oily Jake Basic ball order - and the only real autopilots are those needed as soon as you knock the balls into the trench.
    • Oily Jake
Nope....total mental block with this one. I have tried the Toa without success, and cannot see a ball order that doesn’t trap B.

      @Oily Jake
Hit the ball that B starts next to, obviously, then go up the lift and all the way around counter-clockwise - hit that ball, then autopilot to where you were just before that particular ball. Do the same thing with the other balls along the sides of the trench (hit the balls at the bottom of the stairs before you hit the ones along the trench), working your way back to the lift, with the ball next to the lift being the last one you hit. Then down the lift and hit the ball at the end, and B can head for the exit.
    • Oily Jake
Thanks for that. I see where my mental block lies. I don’t know how to autopilot over the gaps in the catwalk above the trench.
    • D.S.Masters
@Oily Jake Easy enough - as soon as you hit a ball, tap the spot where you want B to be next - because the ball is still basically in place, B treats it as an unbroken path.
    • Oily Jake
Ah yes of course. I’ve used that trick in one of my own levels. I just assumed B wouldn’t remember the path after that much time runnning up steps!
