Out on a Limb

B enlists the help of these two fellas to get to the win box, because it's always nice to implicate friends. P.S. Don't expect lots of gameplay or puzzle as this is just a timing/precision level.

how to make tiny level like this?

do u have a plan to redesign ur previous
two levels, the one with objects
      scattered on water?
    • mothproof
@Ray Aznable Good question. :) I really intended for that level to look that way, scattered elements, as if B and R came right out of the level editor. I realize they look like red herrings, but theyre really just a design.

Also, this Out of the Limb level, to be honest I was planning on doing a puzzle but I wasnt getting anywhere, so for some reason it ended up just a timing/precision level. Not too happy about it.

      in contrary
i always planning to do small level
but ended up made big levels.

sometimes u jst need be thankful,
u already done it as it is,
not temtpted to add more and more stuff.

so i take conclusion from u,
      u first think of design,
      then gameplay come after,
      adapting from the template

@Ray Aznable I actually like the big levels tbh. So I stopped Mekorama for quite some time, and am coming back only now, and you know what, the levels that I miss playing most are the big, sweeping ones like Typhoon City by @Aopon , Dungeon Master by @Star Penguin, and the Rick Dangerous series by @V8 The sense of bigness adds to the adventure.

But yeah, youre right, the small compact levels like most of Italo's and Block Builder's works are quite challenging to make.

people more like it small and simple.
u spent days for big, then if its
too complex u will just got complaints.
even if there is no complaint.
seeing no one arround in comment
      also dissappointing.
      that mean, our big level
      doesnt bring joy and fun.

      rating just bonus.
      just see positive comments
thats already gift for us author.

I think the rating system is broken anyway.

There was once a thread on the forum debating that issue about the rating system, and why 3 stars isn't such a bad score actually. It just means the level is average, nothing wrong with that. The reason I think 3 stars looks bad is because 2 stars is sad, and for some unfair paradoxical reason 3 stars is nearer to 2 stars, and too far from 4 stars. Although when you think about it, 3 is just between 2 and 4. Lol.

Don't depend so much on the rating, just enjoy making levels. :)

@Ray Aznable Also, regarding the past two levels (Outdoor Frenzy and Out and About), Im not really a fan of headless R tbh. So erratic and fidgety.

However, since on the Mekorama level editor, the default R appears headless, I've had to use headless R in the game.
