Belvedere

Standing in the belvedere among the clouds, the view must be breathtaking.

      Some people may find the 'wheel' faulty, and I apologize in advance for that. The 'wheel' actually has an escapement mechanism but due to the bug that allows moving blocks to pass through stationary blocks if enough speed is applied, the 'wheel' may not work well sometimes. :oops: I am sorry if anyone feels annoyed or frustrated by that.

      Why didn't you use a motor for the wheel?

      @Frenzies
      Because I wanted to employ an escapement mechanism.

      Normally when one lets movables move automatically, they move really slow and 'gentle'. So, it may not even move in this case as you need a little bit of force to turn (yes, even in the intended direction), considering the escapement produces some opposing force.

      It would also be too easy as one just has to wait until the wheel stops then get off, I want players to think that they sort of have the ability to turn the wheel anyhow and in any direction they like, though they cannot as the escapement forces the wheel to turn in only one direction. (However, like what I've said earlier, with enough speed/momentum, the moving blocks can pass through stationary blocks due to bug)

      I want players to think they are in control of the wheel and think that the solution is to force the wheel against its intended direction, so that after getting off the wheel they may turn back the wheel one time and cross the stairs to the win on the right side of the belvedere.
      I hope my explanation is clear enough :) Can you kindly tell me what do you think of this strategy or this level in general? It really helps my design in the future :rolleyes: Thanks a lot!

      Let B get off the wheel and walk straight to the edge of the belvedere, then stop right before the 'cloud' or arm.

      With B still facing the same direction, move one unit to its right.

      Finally, wait for a zapper bot to come. After zapping B , it will turn right and walk onto the wheel. It will walk itself to the win on the left of the belvedere.

      Haha, I saw the grey blocks as clouds too. Nice. The roof was very artistic as well. As for gameplay, the clunkiness of the mechanism was a distraction, but I do understand your reasoning for it - and it caught me just to see if B could go that way. :rolleyes: Turns out that I did solve this in the end as intended. More an average level, but I've been rounding up lately. I'm giving you bonus points for all the effort (seemed involved) and for a very aptly named level. Thanks for the creation!

      @nGord Thanks for the compliment and 4 stars rating! :D I'm happy you understood why I made the mechanism in that way and recognize all the efforts that I had put into this level. It really means a lot to me :)
