      First thanks for the hint. I enjoyed the level enough to stick with it and try over and over until I couldn't go any further. I did win thanks to your hint but ...

      Ok, from what I saw...
      B needs to sacrifice himself from his starting position. IMO, it's a waste of the whole intriguing level & spoils the fun.
      Being unwilling to win that way...
      I moved the fd to the top & dropped it to the win.
