Demo. Maybe a little less stable. What do you think?

Nice, but so far my R never reaches the win .. he loses the plot and falls off just below the win block, instead of turning around and going up the stairs.
    Some very interesting moves though!

@trids Hi, thank you for the appreciation. I was curious then tried it again on the purple page. on my device it works, R gets to the win block smoothly, then I repeat more than 5 times and the results are the same, R can get to win block

    Check here for the video:

But that's bizarre  .. Here's me on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, always the same results (the punchline occurs from about 0:48 until the end).
What device are you running it on?

I'm not sure i understand .. in the video i posted above, R gets stuck at time 0:25 to 0:48, and after that he doesn't recover properly and falls off. Never gets to the win

@trids I may not understand very well, maybe the design / element so that R can go up a bit hard, or maybe influence of the data (the data in the scan level / make level is too much), but I also can't ascertain whether the Data Levels really affect the gameplay, I don't really understand, maybe there is someone here can explain this?

I once noticed a difference in the game play when running a level through the designer compared with running as a scanned-in card. But that was a long time ago and i can't recall which level it was.

But you say that you've also run this one as a scanned in card and get the same results consistently. So the only significant difference here seems to be the devices ... And that's a new one for me!

@trids Yup, the QR is consistently works in my device, but no matter, I think this is just a demo, right? so I think other authors might be able to discover in other ways, for example by adding a fence or other retaining element so that R doesn't fall, any other idea?

No, this level is more than just a demo (although it is a very clever design), because it reveals the regrettable truth that the physics engine behind mekorama gives different results on different devices .

Until now, players (and designers) have been relying on the fundamental rules of the physics engine being constant at all times and on all devices. But this design shows that the playing field is not as level ( :p ) as we all believed!

The harsh reality now, is that there is clearly something other than skill that determines the outcome of a game. Randomness is one thing, a thing I personally dislike, but the physics rules of the game should be consistent from one device to the next. And this effect is clearly not about randomness or skill.

Yes, it would be interesting to see if a return trip would allow R to recover .. o_O

    @trids

    1. I do not call this a level, even though this is called a level, I think this is excessive, I call it a demo because this level cannot be played, it is only visible, while the design is only decoration, as for mechanics only the motor rotates

    2. The randomness that happened to me is plural, there are many levels that might be unstable on each device, right? for me it's plural

    3. I will delete this thread if in this forum it is strange and unusual

    No!
    Why would you delete it?
It illustrates some new and very important information!
It is valuable because it is strange and unusual.

@Fendi Rahardian So fun to see R being so perseverent :D On the top floor I have the same result than @trids but that's a side effect of R glimb: it swiped from its supposed path.

Here is how I simply push him on the right way: putting a block on its path to push him back to the right path.

    Thanks for the feedback @Gepeto!
I wonder how many other people get the strange results. A poll would be very interesting. :sneaky:

And as for the inconsistency between devices? I wonder if anyone noticed this before now? o_O

Hey nice move, i kinda liked the last move with help of motor.

I tried to explored this out did different experiments

I found out that the stable (Where R wont fall doing this move)

The stable block for this move is for me: Solid Cylinder Facing upwards (Y axis)

And i also saw something strange that R is getting this move in 2nd time too if R is facing wrong directions / different directions i explored out some different directions too.

    In this Card:
Red block: represents that R will get this move is 1st try

Eye: Represents that Eye on motor (will help R to do this move on 1st try) If you remove the eye (R will get this move on 2nd try) Not only eye can do this anything can help! (A zapper,Cylinder)

Fences: Show the directions of R

Solid Stairs,Blocks,Cylinder: Shows the path getting used (To show stablity) Stairs are unstable but there is also something strange with stairs too i'll discover and show a card on that too after some time!

1 Red Block: Shows R will get this move in 1st try (R is in direction) 1st possible direction to get this move in 1st try

2 Red Block: Shows R will get this move in 1st try (R is in direction) 2nd possible direction to get this move in 1st try

i hope this helps (This is just exploring last move)

The R facing directly to motor will not get this in 1st try
