Just my usual, not sure where this should be posted. But could somebody handle the FB notifications for the next several days? That is, when a level is featured at https://www.facebook.com/mekorama/?...4oZ60Avb0DGtvLLU2wee0-GlKwH8MQVpieQN4&fref=nf

Let the builder know about it, please. I usually do it, taking over from @chemi , but my cat is dying, so I won't be worth much for the next several days, and I probably won't post at all. Thanks.

Yeah, that's fine. It's not like it's important, but any builder likes to be recognized, and that site is the best one out of all of them. It might be longer than a few days - losing pets always hits me hard, but as I said, it doesn't really matter, and anybody can hit that site to see what's what.

I really do not mean to intrude, but I saw nGord's post on your profile and wondered what was up. I am so very sorry to hear about your cat. My sweet Charlotte of 18 years lost her battle with cancer early last year ... I know how hard it can be. All the best.

Thanks. She's 14, she's suffering from a gall bladder infection, and she stopped eating anything 5 days ago... she's lost half her weight, and we're having a vet come out and put her down tomorrow night so she doesn't suffer any further.

You are absolutely doing the right thing. It's the hardest part of having our pets, but a bill we must pay for the love they unconditionally give us.

We put her down about an hour ago - there's a traveling vet up here in the northeast who will come to your home, which is a lot less traumatic for pet and owner, and it's a two stage process which is painless. She's at peace now, but I'm going to be a wreck for the next few days. Life.

My heart breaks for you. I expect the world will be a pretty sharp place for a while. I'm here if you want to talk. Take care.

I'll be okay... it just takes me a few days, and I know I'll feel her brushing up against my legs in the future.

Edit: I think we've deviated from the original topic of this thread, but not a problem.

Yep. My Charlotte used to perch on the bathroom counter while I showered, and I swear I still see her out of the corner of my eye every now and then.

Mickey would follow me into the bathroom every time and sit next to the can, and if you didn't pet her often enough, she'd paw at your leg. Very friendly, and if she managed to get out of the house - she wasn't supposed to because of the wildlife in the area - she'd go next door and torment the neighbor's dog through their window, and sometimes she'd bring me a present. Despite the fact that her illness was very sudden, it doesn't hurt that much (not now, at least) because I know she's at peace... but the next week will tell.

Oh yes. Our kitties don't say "Meow" ... they say "Me now" as in, "Pay attention to ... me now!"

Mickey didn't talk a lot, but she always used to greet us at the door when we came back from the store or whatever. My sister used to call her an 'attention wh*re' (affectionately), because Mickey always loved people and wanted to be near them. She wasn't demanding, though. First cat I've ever had that liked the bridge of her nose being rubbed.

Oh, that is so sweet! Nose touching = kitty kissing. We still have multiples and thery're not so much demanding as competing for attention.

We've got two now - Misty, who is a fraidy cat, and Abby, a 5 month old kitten. Misty was Mickey's best friend, so I could get close to her sometimes, but she used to try and attack the kitten. Abby is a soft black bundle of energy, and she's definitely a people person.

So glad to hear there are others. The dynamics will shift, but you'll have time to work that out. In the meantime ... PICS!!

Mickey was a tortie shell coat. Love those, so adorable. This is Charlotte about a month before we lost her ...
