    Greetings Mekorama community!

Is there any fans of zapper-bot levels here? I am personally a fan of such levels, I like them and I make them! are there any others around?

I'm the opposite - I dislike zappers. Yeah, there are some levels with zappers that I like and play often, such as "Dodge bots" by @Moogies race, but for the most part zappers and / or too many tricks will be the deciding factor as to whether I download a level or not. And I really hate electric stairs.

Thank you for your input, I understand where you come from, most zapper levels are rage inducing thus are not for everyone ;)

Also, levels with electric stairs should be tagged with #rage

If "electric stairs" is referring to zappers embedded inside the stairs, then I also agree that they're annoying (almost as annoying as hidden draggables). I'm fine with one or two in a level (for the element of surprise :D), but not when there are like 5 alternative pathways and 4 of them have hidden zappers. That would no longer be a surprise, but only makes it a test of patience with trial and error, not a puzzle. ;)

Electric stairs is kind of acceptable, if not too many. Because players can still be alert of stairs and first find other safer pathways which clearly no trap could be hidden. But hidden zappers between 2 diagonal blocks are ridiculous. Every wall corners could be a trap...orz.

Newbie to the forum here. Ironically, the first Level I posted is a zapper -- but no annoying hidden ones. I'm like you, I like zapper levels where the strategy isn't killed off (along with B ... over and over again). Anyway, take a look on the Levels if interested. Hoping it's not #rage!

I think it is a common thing for beginners to make a zapper level at some point ;)

also, welcome to the forum, we are all glad to have you here, I loved your level, too bad I can't try it for now since my phone got stolen :( but it looks promising, will try to get back at it once my problem is resolved.

Like most, when I started designing I did a lot of levels with Zappers (my first 3 levels had zapperbots), I think it's an easy way to tell the player "not that way" when you're still learning, but as the other have pointed out, if the level becomes a cycle of "Got zapped, got to restart..." then it becomes a frustrating level where you'll either need a lot of patience or advanced skills.
A hidden element or two are fine as long as the intended solution is revealed after "failing" with the first path, otherwise it will just turn players off.

I hate zapper bots levels because they are almost useless but making B (if there is B) die.

I don't like the zapper bot levels in the original levels at all. I have zappers in my baseball level to represent a foul ball and am considering taking them out.

In one side, I am fans of that if it used for made paths like P / pillarR do. And in another side, I ain't fans of that if it used for avoided things for B.

I kinda dislike zapper bots even though I use them.I don't hate levels with them if there are like 2 or 3 of them.I only use them when I run out of options or think that I can use them as cooperation with the level.
