Hi guys, was hoping one of the more experienced Mekorama players could go into some detail regarding the various building materials, their properties and examples of what they can be used for. like to know things like the difference between stone and metal elements, how to create hidden mechanisms, etc. Not sure if there is already a thread on this. if so please post link. thanks

Not only is there a thread, there is a whole sub-forum of threads (Level Creation Help) and even a published PDF guide (Introduction to Mekorama)! I would start with the guide and then see what may be of interest in that sub-forum. The Games Behaviour sub-forum may also be of interest down the road as it get's into advanced behaviours of the game. Feel free to ask more questions to references here too. Then, when you'll have specific questions about behaviour or creation specifics, you'll be better off to ask in those respective sub-forums.

The guide does a great job (if I may say so) of describing all the blocks included in the game. The thread on physical dimensions discusses the blocks from an advanced perspective. And this thread on MekoStudio announced the release of an online editor that allows you to take advantage of draft blocks hidden in the game that were not ready for release. The MekoStudio editor also makes it easier to build hidden mechanisms.
