Some ideas about stuffes that could enlarge or change possibilities of creation :
    • Ability to switch (by button?) the direction of a slider or a motor
    • A block that destroy itself after something (bots or objects such as balls) come over
    • A slider on rail that reverts its direction as soon as it is blocked (not only at the end of its way)
    • A block that float in the water. So if released from the ground it would come to the surface
    • Multiple Win Blocks validation. Currently if one block is validated that's sufficient to validate the entire level. But what if another kind of win block would need that all win block need to be validated ?

These are nice suggestions. I have some input, though:

How would you block a Slider on Rail? The rail prevents most things from blocking it, although I suppose that you could press a Draggable against it? I agree that we need the Multiple Win Blocks validation. You could improvise for now for some of those ideas.

Hi Frenzies ! Sorry to answer lately :)
About the slider on rail, I meant combined with a metal block such like that :

On a such situation, B is stucked, witch is interesting in many cases. But what if instead of trying to continue on its path, another kind of slider reverses its direction ? I think that could lead to others interesting cases :)

I guess it would. Seems interesting.

Gears in different sizes that lay flat and upright to attach to the motors, slides with straights and curves ,simi circles or 1/4 .. to create rolling objects or rocking objects , conveyor belts, cylinder with hole that doesn't slide or attach to its self for articulation or to create links like on a chain that can also line up with the gears, steam bots that shoot steam out of their heads, steam generator with piping, pressure blocks so when you walk on them or an object like the ball sits on it.....makes a door shut or moves a object, cup blocks that can grab the ball, rails to create mining cart situations......... There is a whole lot of good ideas in previous comments that would be awesome to take advantage of too......

@AkRaging Rolling objects and conveyor belts are already possible with motors. The other ideas seem a little complicated, but are ok.

Free roll is what I'm getting at, like the ball. You push it and it moves, or rolls.

    Great ideas !!!

Gears could be soooo great ! But I don't think different sizes would be good, to respect the block concept of the game. One size to me would be enough. Furthermore it could be great to add a linear rack gear block to combine with the basic gear and a bevel gear blocks. As @AkRaging said, to rotate, a gear should be attached to a motor (alone, it doesn't move)

A free rotation objet could be fine too : actually only motor can rotate something but they stop at each 90° when manually managed. As an exemple, what if I wanna do a pendulum ? We need a non blocking rotor for that.

Another kind of block I though interesting is a passover block : specific block where you can pass through but when you stand on it, you fall down after a while to a downstair floor. It's kind of an autodestroying block that I have written about in the beginning but without destroying, like a jelly or sinking sand.

Finally I'm asking a question to myself (and to anybody who know...) : do all of these wonderful ideas will remain a dream or are a serious way to inspire @Martin Magni in the development of the game. What could be great is to know if some ideas are validate or not for futures versions of Mekorama

I almost forgot about this thread. Actually, I was able to make a pendulum. Like I said, you can improvise. Any ideas for a level with it? And you MIGHT be able to make gears with a motor that have rails or maybe other blocks attached to it. Then you could put a Metal Pillar sideways into a wall and put a Draggable/Motor somewhere (probably on the other side) on it to make it move freely. The moving Motor will move the free blocks. Do you get what I mean? And like I said for the pendulum, any ideas for a level with it? Maybe I should combine them in a Grandfather Clock.

EDIT: Okay, I was able to make some shaky gears. But was that what you meant? Also, @AkRaging , free rolling objects are possible by attaching motors to Metal Pillars. There are already slider rails, and you could attach a Slider to it for a "minecart". What did you mean by the "cylinder with hole"? Did you just mean a block that doesn't attach itself?

 Imagine the scope of new possibilities if B could have a tool of some sort - like a metal bucket (or a cone with a blunt tip, like a thimble), with the following properties..
    • Similar dimensions to the current ball object.
    • B can wear it on his head (or eye, if present) in order to carry it around with him. In such a case, it increases his height by the same amount as the ball.
    • The designer determines its presence in a puzzle, by placing it somewhere that B can reach. If B can't reach it, or the designer doesn't introduce it, then it's not available to B in the puzzle.
    • The player determines when to pick it up or put it down. He can only pick it up when B is suitably positioned relative to it, and can carry only one at a time (or no limit?). And he can only put it down where there is space to do so - a vacant space on his layer (or one lower) and in his proximity.
    • B can use the bucket as a temporary and portable stairs block, to climb up / down from his current layer.
    • B can place the bucket in the path of an R bot as an obstacle.
    • Like the ball, the bucket can fill a hole in order to complete a path for both B and R
    • R can step onto or over the bucket in the same way that he might if B were wearing a ball on his head (or eye) while standing in a gap to complete a path for R who is on a higher layer.
    • Depending on the final configuration of this object, it should follow appropriate rules when responding to momentum: once it has velocity and is travelling from one layer to another, it should roll / slide according to its physical constraints (eg: the ball rolls, deflects off of obstacles, and finally comes to rest).
Wouldn't that be cool, if B could have a tool?
