That's completely wild. Did you have to use an R and L, or did you do that to distinguish the sides? (Would it have worked with 2 Rs or 2 Ls?)

What's the significance of the zappers and the metal stairs?

I took a look in Meko Studio. Of course the presence of an L confused it, making it hard to tell for sure, but it looks like a ring of fences attached to horizonal and vertical sliders form the full sensor mechanism. Is that accurate?

I used R/L as a sign. But I can't place it arbitrarily, that position (slider) I got from trial and error, that's why the positions of R and L are reversed.

If anyone can make it better, I'd really appreciate it.

Stairs is used so that robot stands on tiptoe (because we know the position of the vertical slider is slightly lower, maybe because of gravity?) to prevent the trigger from moving automatically.

Zapper is used for footing, you can replace it with eyes or wedges. without a footrest the robot will float slightly, making it difficult to tiptoe.

The position of the slider is decisive, but I can't really explain it.
For the vertical or horizontal slider, it doesn't matter here I place it so that it is in a fixed position, so there is no friction that causes noise.

For the ring, maybe I should make a demo first, or you can look at the "resultant" level

oh I forgot, the robot is actually used as a trigger, like a normal sensor. The number can also have an effect.

    Ah, that's a clever design.

I've played resultant and read the conversation there, but I still have a hard time grasping how to design with sensors. And this new free sensor makes even less sense!

Let's try to make a small level. What kind of ideas do you have? And how do you want it to end?

I like the star pass effect where it can be used to allow R or L to walk across a fence. So maybe a sensor that moves a star into a fence in a way that enables a bot to walk to the win?

Okay. Do you want to use the sensor above, or another sensor?

Do you have a building design? sometimes I already have a building, and think about the gameplay after :rotf:

@MekaSage If using sensor above, I have an idea: there will be 2 separate bridges (fences). Underneath there is a free sensor that can move back and forth.

For the star, we attach it to the ball, which later the ball must be rolled towards the sensor. After that the sensor is moved to fence 1 (first bridge) and back to fence 2 (to go to win). Trigger we can use B.

Trying to make the sensor first, the ball can be used as a trigger, but it takes the right placement of sliders and bots.

Sometimes when creating a level, it doesn't go the way you want it to. We can add, reduce or change the design and gameplay in the middle of making a level, as long as it doesn't change the main concept.

@MekaSage You must have a design plan that you want. you can share the card. I'm just here to help you in making the sensor level.

I'll have to give it some thought. I'll share something if I get an interesting idea.

I can't figure out how to win this demo; I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the sensor is working differently for me. After I push the ball into the vehicle it drives away and nothing I do seems to make it return.

Aren't we trying to create a level? the card is not to win. I'm showing a preview of the sensor I made based on your idea.

I understand now. Yes, I like the idea of this sensor. I will think about how to use it in a level. It may take me a few days because I am busy with a few things.
