When playing a level, I need help. If I can’t win, I go to the comments on the level page. Most of the time, there’s a comment, hint, or a movie that helps and I learn something new.

Sometimes the name on the card is different from the name on the level page (the search name). A good example of that is “Breakdownn” by “ROHIT” per the card. The level page (and search name) shows “Breakdown .” by”PvB”. In this case, I have to give up on the level because I can’t find any help.

Secondly, sometimes the level page offers no hints, comments, or movie. Again, I have to give up because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Is there a way to know the search name from the card? Is there somewhere else to find hints or help besides on the level page?

    Thanks,

    Great question @Sophia!

First, a disclaimer. This forum has no official oversight or mandate; it is strictly here because of the people and for the people enchanted by a game. Neither the game creator or the forum creator have a vested interest in this forum.

With that out of the way, we actually have an amazing community both in terms of people creating levels, offering feedback, and offering help and support too. Like you mention, sometimes the help is already there under the Comments or Caption tabs below the card. Not all levels have a Caption tab and not all levels were uploaded according to our updated labeling rules. We've been trying very hard to make levels easy to find for those trying to search for them. Please use the "Report" right below the card if you ever find a card not labeled properly or start a private conversation with any staff member to help you find a card if needed.

As a side note, PvB has shared his account with a friend of his going by the name Rohit and thus you'll find all Rohit cards under the PvB account. Because this has been the case for so long, we simply have allowed it to continue. Similarly, some members have chosen to use different names from their account name to their card name. Perhaps we should make a rule that this should not be the case. So far no one has outright complained and we've managed to find all the cards anyone has been looking for. It is also hard to make a rule after it has been broken so many times.

So finally to your excellent question.
The easiest way to get help/hints is to simply ask in the comments below the card. Sometimes that is not as easy as it sounds though because of various reasons such as the creator having left the forum or them not being confident in explaining themselves. But because we have so many awesome members, someone may see your question and offer you help anyway.

The second option is to try and send a private conversation to the creator, but if they have not answered in the comments, they are unlikely to answer in private either. I personally enjoy figuring out difficult levels and helping others with hints. Alas, if everyone private messaged me, I would really have no life outside this forum.

Thus, the third option I'm about to suggest is probably the absolute best way to get help on a level posted beyond a couple of weeks prior. Unfortunately this involves getting an account on another service called Discord. Discord is a game chatting software and we have a server dedicated to Mekorama fans that you can reach with this invite. One of the channels we have there is called #mekorama_levels where some of the remaining diehards of this game chat about levels in development or those posted to this forum.

Again, thanks for starting this thread. I wonder how many others may have been wondering the same thing. Again, with any specific level questions that you can't get help with on the level page, feel free to send me a private conversation or for faster service, join us over on Discord.
