Hey, can anybody help me please, & tell me what trick I need to do this level,

Only thing I could do was walk over the zapper using claustrophobia. The rest was lost on me.

tapping on the stair outside the door and then tapping on various stairs in the water.

Maybe that's the same basic trick.
