R-bot Tricks Demo IV

Fourth demo! Refer to the previous three for more tricks. ;)

In this demo you’ll learn about:-
      • How to manually bend an R-bot
      • Three ways R can squeeze through a 1-block tunnel
      • Two mechanisms which force R to walk between two grids
      • How to enable R to walk in all (8) directions
      • Ball-on-wedge descent trick
      • Another new way to manipulate R-stopper
      • The Headbanger pushing trick
      • How to jump using an R-bot

      In order of occurrence:

      1. Slippery Ball — Gently push the embedded draggable to the right. The ball would spin and cause R to bend his body.
First deployed by @Muslim Arizzy in R-Botz Alone, this is a combination of

      2. Rail Ceiling — R steps onto the inset staircases (which lowers his body) and squeezes his head under the rails.
First posted by @Nick Tesla in Impractical Ways.

      3. Narrow Staircase — Teleport R using the embedded draggable. R then continues to squeeze himself up along the wedges.
First posted by @Nick Tesla in Impractical Ways. The improved Teleport Button is posted by @cpw here.
Note that the new teleport button is orientation-specific -- Although it is fully stable, some orientations may not work.

      4. Slider Dive — R steps onto the vertical slider and gets sucked into it. He then dives into the tunnel.
First discovered by @cpw in Mind Your Head II.
Note that the slider path is orientation-specific -- Although it is fully stable, some orientations may not work.

      5. Midline Walk
      • Turn the zapper to the left, then drag R to the right. R would continue to move forward, but the zapper (which occupies half a grid) causes R to walk between two grids.
      • You may also skip the zapper switch and simply hold the draggable motor in-between.
Originally discovered by @cpw in a Cool Kids discussion while @richardfu_ added the door idea, and was subsequently deployed by @Cool_Kids in Free Roam. @Frenzies later came up with a more compact mechanism using a draggable motor only.
The underground zappers are required to make the stairs walkable.

      6. Eight Directions — Similar to @meko ’s Five Directions, this mechanism uses a draggable pendulum instead of a motor. This enables the draggable to stop at any directions. R then walks diagonally to the opposite grass block.
Originally developed by @cpw in a Cool Kids discussion, and was subsequently deployed by @Cool_Kids in Free Roam.

      7. Ball-on-wedge descent — R steps onto the wedge and is displaced by the ball. He then continues to walk forward and falls off the wedge. This is a stable variant of the Ball-on-stairs trick from the 2nd Demo.
First posted by @cpw in this demo.
The underground zapper is required to make the wedge walkable.

      8. R-stopper (Helper R) — R tries to squeeze himself under the wedge. As he occupies the space underneath, the tall R-bot unfreezes and turns around.
First posted by @cpw in this demo (in fact it was discovered in the creation process  ).

      9. Headbanger — As the tall R approaches, the sideway motor causes him to bend. He then bangs his head to remove the obstacle.
First discovered by @Block builder in Tomb of Mr. Ward.

      10. R-bot Jump button — Move B onto Tall R’s head and quickly lift the draggable. B would jump and land on the Win.
First realized by @Frenzies and is built by @cpw in a Cool Kids discussion, and first published in this demo.

Wow, cool set of tricks again!

      2. Rail ceiling - Never in my life did I have a need to slow down R. :D
      3. Narrow Staircase - No need to teleport, but that does seem to improve the smoothness.
      5. Midline walk - No need for the initial, vertical zapper. Because of the rotor (which is a nice update on the trick), R does not freeze if you keep the movable halfway in the grid.
      6. Eight directions - I found it a bit difficult to not let R fall in this case, while in @Cool_Kids's Free Roam I had no problems. Not sure why, could be me doing it differently.
      9. Headbanger - Yeeeey, got featured in an R tricks demo.
      10. R-bot Jump button - Looks really cool!

@Block builder I also just updated the reference of #10 as it was first noticed by @Frenzies in my legacy first level (Mind Your Head). Then I built it with his idea in mind ;)

      Nice demo
I'll repeat myself from previous reviews, it's awesome how you can pack so many different tricks in a demo/level and still make it fun.
This one has it all, fun tricks, good explanations and history! Thanks!

Awesome demo []! The explanations and references were very detailed, yet short enough that people won't get bored while reading it; I wonder how long it took you to write that (around 1 hour and 40 minutes ).

@richardfu_ Finally someone commented on the water! Been adding it since the 1st demo to make it look more appealing.

@Block builder About R falling on the Eight Directions trick, that happens if you swing the draggable and let it move on its momentum. If you hold it the whole time, R will stay on it.

Wow, I love these demos:D ... they will surely be more oriented towards the creators but for the players they are also very valuable !!! It is incredible the amount of unusual behaviors of the R that exist in Mekorama .... Also are visually very pleasant demos .... Thanks @cpw ;)
