Parking Panic

Oh great... Now that you've finally finished a tough day at work, you get to your car just to find out that the exit is completely blocked! Luckily all of the other cars still have the keys in them (how irresponsible...), so you can move them to get your car out!

Puzzle was hard. Luckily there's a free block by which I can push a bot to the goal.

@richardfu It took me forever to find a setup that worked :p Little fact about this level: it's laid out so that the minimum number of moves required to complete it is 93 moves, which is the most moves required for any possible configuration of this puzzle.

@TGamer4 Amazing. How do you design such a complicated puzzle? Any other software/game you used?
    • TGamer4
@richardfu Well, for this specific puzzle, I just did a bit of math to come up with the highest minimum amount of moves possible (don't ask...), then went through trial and error to find the correct setup. I just got lucky that it didn't take forever. :p I didn't use any external programs, I just had a bunch of time and a rough idea that I could improve upon

@richardfu Y'know, now that I think about it, a game like Minecraft might be useful for plotting out ideas. It is composed of blocks and such, so... That might help.

I've come back time and again to this puzzle because it seems to come up in conversations. Each time I solve it without much trouble and with almost half the number of moves as the cited minimum. It's quite easy to do it in 57 moves, but if you're careful, it's possible to finish it in only 53 moves. Perhaps that is why I am awarding it an excellent rating - because there is potential to squeeze more fun out of the puzzle than simply moving all the blocks out of the way (even though probably an unintentional consequence). It's true that the free-draggable can also be used to trigger the win, and that is an unfortunate oversight, but it is made up by the nice graphics. These Rush Hour™ (aka traffic) puzzles (or simply 6x6 sliding puzzles) can be boring after a while, so having a few bots walking around, I found, livened the place up a bit. Thanks for the repeated fun!

Bufff! Finally after months coming back to this level, trying and trying, I was able to solve it!
Although it is a plain rush hour puzzle, I will rate it with five stars because I think it was the first level of this style in the forum and because it has been in first position of my unfinished levels list for more than a year!!!
      Thanks for sharing!
