Hopefully restful level after my last extravaganza.
Trying to create a Japanese garden atmosphere but bit disappointed with outcome.
Simple gameplay, as per my skill level. Hopefully no shortcuts but sure my regular bug hunting team will come up with something.
Grateful thanks to @Labyrenight for superb series of tutorials on wedge climbing. The wing of the Heron was irritatingly redundant until I followed his thread.
No real hazards but be very careful of the rotating platform on the second garden level. It helps to reconoittre your landing area. The fish can cause you trouble but recoverable. If a ball proves sticky B is always willing to take a second run at it.

When I saw the ball resting on a full cube(last ball in your video), I figured it might not roll well but thank god that everything works perfectly the first time. Fun exploration level and I like the fishes underwater.

EDIT - I haven't try this yet but maybe this will work better? Place the ball on a vertical rail instead of a full cube.
    • MekoMole
Thanks @mastersifu for kind comments and generous rating. You are probably correct about the ball balancing on a vertical rail but I' ve occasionally had probems with balls dislodging randomly when a folding mechanism closes. Will experiment a bit further.
Thanks for playing and for advice. Glad you found it fun.

Thought the swimming carp looked very realistic. And always nice to see water properly used.
    • MekoMole
Thank you for playing @ridgerunner and for kind comments and generous rating. I was reasonably pleased with the way the fish and water turned out. Took a bit of juggling to stop the carp jumping out of the pond after collisions.

I saw your video & although I had an alternative clean solution without using R ,was fun... thanks for sharing @MekoMole ;)
Btw,I like the design a lot
    • MekoMole
Glad you found it fun @delator77.
I'm assuming an autopilot using the slider from the second triangular platform over to the Heron? I added a second block, at the last minute, to help B dismount from the rotating platform which looks as if it might have enabled autopilot.
Thanks for playing, kind comments and generous rating.

@MekoMole I did a movie so you can check my gameplay... easier than an explanation with words... Obviously I missed something cause I didn't use all the elements but you will see that I didn't do nothing tricky... just in case, the way I caught the last star is not considered as a trick... here is it...
      What do you think,my friend?
    • MekoMole
I'm afraid you are too skilled a Mekorama player fotr me @delator77. The drop into the body of the Heron is so obvious, now that you have discovered it. I can't replicate the capture of the star but you make it look very easy my friend.

Awesome heron and moving fish! As always, I am very impressed with your design !!! Well done!

The gameplay is also very interesting and confusing, as always. I liked walking between fish)). But I noticed that it is very difficult to see your correct intended path, due to the large number of sliders. You have a lot (many-many) of sliders at the levels!))).

      Overall, I really liked it.

When I opened the level and saw the heron !!! I realized that this is definitely 5 !! Well done my friend ;)

Thank you @Denis Nazin for playing, kind comments and a very generous rating. Thank you also for constructive comments on the number of sliders. This interests me. As you will probably be aware I am not a skilled game player but can obviously complete my own levels where I have gone over the course repeatedly during development and testing. As such I find it very hard to judge level of difficulty. In this case I deliberately complicated the interaction of sliders especially by requiring combinations. Perhaps too much?

You are correct, I do use a large number of sliders. One of the reasons is that when using a 'centrepiece' figure I hate to obscure it with infrastucture. Sliders are generally less obtrusive and can often be parked at the edges of the play area. However I have been aware recently of my dependence on sliders and am working to introduce more variety.

I have had previous feedback that my play path was a bit obvious and a bit like joining dots. Perhaps I have over compensated.

A long winded reply, possibly smacking of self justification, but an honest attempt to explain my design decisions. I appreciate feedback, especially from experienced designers like yourself, and this type of discussion is a strength of the forum. I should also say that I also appreciate comment from non design playing members. They can be relied on to catch out weaknesses.

      Thank you Wolf Man.

      @MekoMole
      I understood you.
I also love extended long answers - that's good. They are more understandable and informative. This is especially important for me - because I use a translator. Therefore, thanks for the long and understandable answer.

By the way, I also have fishing. This is a very funny level:rotf::

Thank you for the pointer to your fishing level @Denis Nazin. The design and concept are superb and I really enjoyed playing, especially as I was able to complete it.

Beautiful big adventure level and lots of fun to explore in a relaxing manner. I only used half of the map and B caught all the stars:p
