Bots and Balls

      Hercules push
This originally started out as a tutorial on the various ways that an R bot could hit a ball, but then I decided not to, as everyone knows how to do that already.
That one lift and ball look like they're not needed, and they're not for the regular solution. But for a little fun, when R is on that lift headed for the final ball, get B on the metal half pillar at the bottom of the ramp. Yeah, bot abuse, but this way B can hit the win.

One move in the level was not too obvious to me , so it took a few minutes to find it. I liked the triple use of a certain element.

Oh, I do love a good Bullwinkle, :D:D:D:D:D!

Really enjoyed that multi-use element, not at all obvious and very neat.

Having read the intro I had to go back and give B the chance to claim the win, ;):D. Definitely not bot abuse, I am sure I heard a 'Whee' as he went over the edge, :rotf::rotf:.
    • D.S.Masters
@Jom Yeah, I heard one too. ;)

@ridgerunner I thought the whole thing was a little too straight forward... what did you have trouble with? And yeah, that's a useful slider.

@D.S.Masters ..as it was “easy” I wasn’t expecting to have to look for anything but perhaphs because the draggable’s range was restricted initially, it took several minutes to realise it comes further out to enable a path for B..A good feature.

I rather enjoyed that! Since you used a Hercules, I thought an extra autopilot would be permissable along the way (although later found to not be required). ;)

This is a great level. Reusing the draggable is a great idea and inspiring for level ideas. As usual I enjoyed the intertwined paths that add intrigue when trying to find the solution. I also appreciate the stability extras. For example giving two draggable blocks for the Herculean push runway so you dont have to do an autopilot on only a single block. And the multiple win blocks to increase win stability. One thing that was unclear is why have a draggable up to the ball hole area? I tried a ToA shortcut there but couldn’t get B to drop
    • D.S.Masters
@shultz Actually, I do the double draggable block for the Hercules because I'm not a fast tapper... if I do one block, then I might not get it yanked down in time. ;)

*dont push B too hard or else might stuck
*u modify a stair combination to prevent
a bug which allow B to pass them.

*the last step if the ball couldnt hit finish block directly, and must require late tap trick with B. this level surely is difficult for new members.

      amazing design like always.

      thanks for sharing.

@Ray Aznable That stair combination is something that I picked up from @cpw years ago... R can cross any block after going down stairs.
