      Aaargh... Nobody solved it ? Or maybe it was easier than I though... :confused:
    • nGord
      Thanks @Gepeto. Completed. A bit glitchy, but your design shows a lot of thought went into it.
      I am also confused by the whole right side of the design (where the electric bot is). I managed to get B over there once, but still failed to see any relevance to solving the puzzle. The same goes for the ball opposite the end spot. Cheers.
    • Gepeto
      @nGord Thanks for trying! I think that you did it differently then I thought...
      In my mind the right side and the ball was definitely inevitable to go to the win. From the inside of the house (zoom in to watch the mechanism) you have to find a way to push the ball and send it to the missing block in front of the win. I suppose that downstairs you tried several times to throw B straight to the win block? Because it could be done softer then that :)
    • trids
      @Gepeto - I'm still trying
      :confused: ....
      My biggest frustration is getting the first ball to move. Sometimes it seems to respond quite happily, more often it moves just a few pixels at a time from vibrations. Sometimes it's so slow that i give up and start afresh!
    • trids
      And then sometimes things like this happen...
      [IMG]
      Or this...
      [IMG]
      ... So I can see why you called it a headache!
      :(

      @trids...
      OMG! You ruined everything! :eek: That's weird... :D I think that's from an unpredictable bug, because your removed bar is attached to a slider that should keep it inside the house. I can't manage to do the same...

      To give you some clues the way to go downstairs is like that :

      [IMG]

      When you'll find how to go out of the house, you have to figure out how to eliminate the R Bot and go there :

      [IMG]

      From there I think you will find a way to throw the ball and else...
      Maybe this level is definitely too difficult? I spent too much time on it and really like the mechanism, but I didn't planned so tricky surprises. ;)

      @Gepeto - I like where i can see it going, the internal mechanism is very clever! I just can't get to the point where i can start using it...
      My first step is to get rid of the red bot : by dislodging the ball at the back, so that he can step on it and into the way of the "L-rocker" and get bounced out of the precinct. But getting this ball to move is where my head breaks. My next step is to get the B bot inside the house with the L-rocker, which is fine. But then it seems I need to close the L-rocker forcefully, so as to throw the B bot off of it inside the house - and this i also can't repeat reliably, as he stays glued to the L-rocker almost always. Once the B bot can walk around, i can move him to into position to close the front puddle using the clever outside lever / door that does magic inside... and get the second ball to form a bridge for the B bot to reach the target.

      So if that's the correct approach, then my downfall is just the sticky ball and sticky L-rocker that the B bot can't dismount inside the house.

      But the end bit, once the B bot can walk around inside the house etc, is pure genius!

      For me I solved it in a different way. Not sure if that's intended though.
      I just drop B onto the white floor using the L-shaped device, then tap on the border at the same time I pull out the ground block so that B can climb onto it and walk onto the grass. Then I use the 90-degree lever to push B across the river towards the goal, pull out the ball at the back side to complete the path, and finally send B to the goal.

      Aah yes! I couldn't get the metal steps to slide forward from the outside - but i just didn't try hard enough. Instead i used Gepeto's inside mechanism: where you have to get B to stand in the right spot inside the house so that the outside lever can use him to engage the sliding steps....

      But your way, cpw, cuts out all my snags, and even the illegal moving of the shifting metal steps (from outside) is easier than my struggle of shifting that first ball.

      Well done ,cpw! Now I can sleep peacefully, thank you.

      I have also figured out the intended solution just now. Quite a sophisticated design indeed ;)
      First you begin with sending B inside the house by holding the L device at 45 degrees while he is approaching. Once he's inside, move the two rear draggables until you can make B walk onto the stone ground. Let R reach the ground draggable platform and retract it such that it would fall onto the white floor and wander away. Then B moves onto the same platform and run around onto the grass. Use the rear rotational bar to push him across the river, walk on the ball and hit the goal.

      @trids @cpw You guys really rock ! You found at first some ways that wasn't on my mind ! That's really interesting ! :) As for you to see what's inside the box, go along for a simple playable spoiler (but if some are still thinking about, don't go further... :cool: )
      This is a light version of the mechanism (without the boring R Bot and that enlightens what's going on inside the house (Yep, no secret : I like to share technical stuffes ;)). So maybe there is some tricky things that can be done from that but that's not the purpose.

      Thanks to have suffered this headache with me ! :D

      @cpw : I solved this initially just like you explained in your spoiler. Interesting that we thought alike.
      @trids : I experienced the same glitches, namely the locking slider coming out of its housing.
      @Gepeto : I put the rest of my experiences in the spoiler.
      1. I never figured out how to get that rear ball to drop for R to walk out of the way (98% of the time it just wouldn't drop). :(
      2. In my original attempt, I was able to get the rear ground slider to move by opening up the rotational slider (because I see now that it bumps up against it) so I never thought to pull/push on it. I must have just got lucky that one time getting B to dismount inside the housing without the rear ground slider fully out (=potential glitch).
      3. As for the front step slider with the ball on it, it did the opposite, i.e. I was able to slide it just with my finger, so I never thought about the more complicated solution of positioning B in the right spot etc. (=glitch).
      4. Thanks for posting the inner workings; that was very communal of you!
      5. And thanks again for the creative effort!

      @Gepeto - thanks for sharing the inner workings. Very impressive! And the external design is very pleasing too. Altogether a fine work of art.

      Thanks all for the rates and the pleasants words :)
      @nGord, some details further...
      1. Maybe you found that out since you have written : the rear ball is supposed to drop with B-Bot being pushed to it by the slider that first blocks the L-shaped device (you know the one that is not supposed to go out of the house :rolleyes: ). So it's just a matter of time before R-Bot come back. It happened once to me that the ball fell down without any reason but since it was during the creation step...
      3. About the front step slider, you're right and it's a weakness. As a draggable is needed so that the metal structure can move by pressure, it happens to be possible to move it by finger even if the draggable is not supposed to be accessible (hidden in the bottom). If you know another way to do that I'd like to know ;)
      Thanks for your precious comments ! :D
