Very beautiful concept, although quite glitchy. It's especially hard to close the lock at the last step. What is B doing, and is that a pen on the other side?

The sliding blocks indeed sometimes need some persuasion. I've made everything with round blocks, but still. Due to the requirement of sliding in two dimensions, rail sliders are not possible. To prevent block from tipping over or being pulled out of the box, they are 3 blocks high, with the middle layer having only the center block, surrounded by rails holding down the corners, but leaving gaps for sliding at the other 4 blocks. As they are 3 blocks high, slight tipping while being dragged sometimes prevents the bottom layer from getting fully in position. Then the paths of surrounding block may be a bit blocked. Re-sliding, or sliding the surrounding blocks with force, will make it work.

Indeed that's a pen. And B is being a picture. Purpose is decoration and giving a desk-feel.

Oh and that lock in the end, I made it the supposed to turn the other way earlier, but it kept turing in the direction it should turn now. After I flipped the lock, it would turn either way, was my impression. Indeed a bit difficult to control, but having to be attached to 2 moving parts, there's nothing I can do. The lid needs to be 2 parts due to level size limitations.

Nice idea and nicely built. The box the pen looks great. Didn't know that B is a photo, haha. Quite funny.

I do have trouble moving the blocks but the one thing keeps me motivate is the curiosity. Want to see what happen if it exactly fit the pattern. It feels satisfying seeing it close properly even after a lot of work, like memorizing the orders of each blocks with the pattern that you don't even know what to name them.
